Three Ways to Access the Lexicord Reference Platform
The platform is available under annual subscription arrangements suited to individual readers, institutional teams, and organisations seeking a customised reference extension. All plans include access to the full curated glossary and the quarterly editorial bulletin.
← Back to HomeHow the Reference Platform Is Maintained
The Lexicord approach begins with the premise that a reference work's usefulness depends not on its size but on the quality of the editorial decisions behind each entry. An entry that has been reviewed by a practitioner with direct experience of the relevant doctrine, checked against the primary source it cites, and written in precise rather than paraphrased language, is more valuable than one that has been assembled quickly from secondary commentary.
Each quarterly update cycle begins with a review of entries flagged by the editorial board or submitted by subscribers, followed by a planning discussion in which new entries are scoped. The lead reviewer for each subject area takes responsibility for drafting or revising entries in their domain. A second review is conducted by a different board member before publication.
Entry scoping and assignment
New entries and revisions are planned by the editorial board and assigned to the appropriate lead reviewer.
Primary source research and drafting
The lead reviewer researches the primary authority and drafts the entry with citation references.
Second review and sign-off
A second board member reviews the draft, checks the cited authority, and approves or requests revision.
Publication and bulletin
New and revised entries are published and documented in the quarterly editorial bulletin distributed to all subscribers.
