Cookie Policy

This policy explains how the Lexicord platform uses cookies and browser storage technologies, what data is collected through them, and the options available to you.

Last updated: April 2025  ·  Effective: 1 May 2025

Your Current Cookie Preference

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and to store certain preferences or information. Some cookies are placed directly by Lexicord; others may be placed by third-party services integrated into the platform.

The Lexicord platform also uses browser localStorage — a form of local storage available in modern web browsers — to retain certain preferences between sessions, including your cookie consent choice. localStorage data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to our servers as part of standard operation.

2. Cookies Used on This Platform

The following table describes the cookies and storage technologies used on the Lexicord platform:

3. Categories of Cookies

Strictly Necessary Cookies are required for the platform to function. They enable authentication, session management, and security. These cookies cannot be disabled without impairing platform functionality. They do not require consent under applicable guidance.

Preference Cookies (including localStorage entries) store choices you make about how the platform is presented to you, including your consent preference. They remain on your device until you clear your browser storage.

Analytical Cookies collect aggregated information about how visitors use the platform — which pages are viewed, how long sessions last, and where visitors navigate. This information is used to understand usage patterns and to improve the platform. Analytical cookies are placed only with your consent.

4. How localStorage Is Used

Lexicord uses the browser's localStorage API to store your cookie consent preference locally on your device under the key lexicord_consent. This value is either true (accepted) or false (rejected).

This data is stored on your device only. It is not transmitted to Lexicord's servers in the course of normal platform use. No personal identifiers are associated with this localStorage entry.

5. Managing Your Preferences

You may update your cookie preference at any time using the panel at the top of this page. Selecting "Reject Non-Essential" will store a rejection preference in localStorage and will disable analytical and third-party cookies. Selecting "Accept All" enables all cookie categories described in this policy.

You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies from specific websites. Instructions for the most common browsers are available from their respective support pages:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of subscriber login and session management on the platform.

To clear localStorage data, use your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage) or clear site data through your browser's privacy settings.

6. Third-Party Services

Where third-party analytics or measurement services are enabled, those providers may place their own cookies and process data according to their own privacy policies. Lexicord does not control those third-party processes. Where such cookies are used, they are placed only with your consent as described in this policy.

7. Changes to This Policy

Lexicord may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies used or in applicable guidance. The current version, with its effective date, is published on this page. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email.
